We just had our first COVID 19 + NP swab (no CT or blood viral testing done)  in a symptomatic lung transplant recipient (66 yo AA female from Michigan, tx bilateral sequential lung in 2012) who presented to local community ER with fever, cough, myalgias for 4 days with negative response to the remainder of COVID -19 screening questions (no travel, no sick contacts ..) . She is currently not on a antimetabolite , stable on RA and will be discharged from the community hospital within 24 hrs  and be quarentined for the next 2 weeks at home  (hospital will be reaching out to her contacts) . No changes were made to her steroid dosage or her tacrolimus dose. The remainder of her RVP swab is negative for influenza, RSV, HMPV , and parainfluenza. ISHLT will be posting a survey in the next few days to assess how you are testing your donors / recipients and the rates of COVID 19 infection in your recipients . Please watch for the survey .
