Covid testing in recipient at time of transplant

    Hello,

I am a heart transplant physician in the USA (Northeast).
At the time of an acceptable organ offer, are you testing your potential recipient for active coronavirus-19 prior to transplant even if they have no symptoms or close contact with known covid case?  And I assume if positive, the transplant would be cancelled.

If a waitlisted patient had known covid disease and then tested negative (at least twice) and is currently asymptomatic, are you retesting them immediately prior to transplant when a donor is found?

Appreciate any input as to what the practice is at other transplant centers.

    Thanks!
